I tried to change my location in the profile by typing the new one when prompted but it doesn’t stick. Where do I go about it?

Your detected location will change when you IP address changes, because your IP changes frequently, this will happen frequently.
On the other hand, the location which is stated on your public profile (https://my.creativecow.net/Michael-Aranyshev) will not change until you manually change it.

Hmm… that is very strange.
What version of Safari are you using?
Do you have this issue in Chrome and/or Firefox?

My Safari is version 7.0.3 (9537.75.14).
I get the same behaviour in Firefox.
I can see both links.
There is some development. When I switch from TimeWarner Cable to T-Mobile the map on the page is loading. I can edit my location there, both the pin on the map and the name in the field above the map.. It just doesn’t show in my profile.

It sounds like there is some issue with your ISP blocking some content there.
I have the same version of Safari, and it works well for me.
Perhaps you could test using Firebug, or Chrome’s development tools to check what specifically is being blocked. I would assume it is something between your ISP and Google, but you’ll need to dig around on your end to find out what it is specifically.

Were you ever able to change your location? No matter what I do, the location for my Creative Cow profile is stuck on Brooklyn. I’ve tried to set it to Phildelphia many times from different browsers and on different connections. When I click on “Manage Location,” it properly lists Philadelphia and shows Philly marked on the map, but the location on the main page of my profile refuses to update. Also, my job notifications are still coming in for the New York area, instead of Philadelphia.
