Ok, if it’s not graphics, maybe it’s another kind of clip. Got any color clips or black clips? Try removing them. Since you said export also has the problem, it’s probably not a Leaders & Trailers issue.

The only other kinds of clips I can think of are still images imported as video, and transitions. Obviously it’s hard to remove all your transitions if you have them, but maybe you have a couple of unusual DVEs?

You could try exporting a smaller chunk of the program. If you can successfully export even a one second range, then gradually expand it until the export fails. Then see what is different about the last range.

One other idea is that somehow it’s the program itself. Maybe you could copy the clips inside the program and paste them into a new program?

You have no hope of using the P6000 with an Intel Mac. There are so many levels of incompatibility I can’t even start. Same for expansion chassis. There is slightly more hope with a G5 but that needs the expansion chassis; you’d be better off getting one of the new M100 cards that will work in a G5 directly and soon in the Intel Mac. Call M100, their new SDe system is around $2500 list. https://www.media100.com/Products/SDe/

Could you be more specific about the exact error you’re getting (there is no “cannot print” error message because M100 calls it “master”) and when you’re getting it. Is there something in your program that has to be rendered first? Try a force-render-all. Maybe you have a bad graphic or title somewhere. Can you play the entire program?

  • What about buying the upgrade to 8.2.3? I bet it comes with the proper version of Graffiti and you get some new features and bug fixes as well.

Try trashing this file in your ~/Library/Preferences folder: com.Media100.Media100HD.plist

If that doesn’t work, you could try trashing all your Media100 preferences, but that specific file has been the culprit in similar cases.

Check your Project Settings / Real Time / Play … at Draft Quality setting; if it’s on, that’s the problem.

The board is compatible, but the application can’t talk to it in Rosetta. Producer works in Rosetta but it doesn’t have to communicate with any hardware (except the Mac itself of course.) So your instinct is reasonable but incorrect. Still, it shouldn’t be long before Media 100 releases the Intel version, but obviously that won’t help you today.

It’s not ready for the Mac Pro yet. It’s been announced, but it’s not yet shipping. So you need a G5 for now.

  • Not sure if this is your problem, but here’s a try. There is a bug in Producer 11.5 which turns on “draft mode” playback whenever you open the Project Settings dialog. So try opening Project Settings, go to Real Time, and turn off that checkbox. It will stay off until you reopen Project Settings. I think the bug will be fixed in 11.5.1.

Do you mean the widescreen Radius LCD? It originally came with its own graphics card but that stopped working in 10.1. There was a company that sold a PCI card that took a DVI input and converted it to the monitor’s pinout. I don’t recall the name; I’m using it as I write this. But it “wastes” a PCI slot. Given today’s prices you’re probably better off buying a new monitor.
