    Ha, a guy just did the same to me earlier this week. You have to convert them to your desired format using conversion software. MPEG Streamclip isn’t able to do it. I don’t have the software and didn’t feel like buying it, so I gave him back the drive and he converted them to MPEG2s and when i got them back I converted them to Apple ProRes 422 using Mpeg Streamclip.
