  • Same here… (MacPro 5,1) with 4Gig GTX 680 card. The Security Update knocked out the nvidia driver and reverted to the generic OS driver and now all my monitors look blue. I can’t color correct any video. Past OS updates Nvidia has been on par with providing a patch. On second day with no fix…. Not cool. Time Machine didn’t revert back the security update either. Obviously apple found a security flaw in the driver so its up to Nvidia to fix this.

I’m using cc2014 and its working fine. (didn’t upgrade to yosemite due to no support for TRIM on 3rd party SSDs).
I make sure my layers are separated correctly and save illustrator CC with no compression no embedded and everything works.

Not sure how OS would change a save settings between apps.

  • Thanks for the little walker animation, it did help with what I was doing. I kinda see what you are trying to do with the tweaks. I have a question…

To learn, I tweaked the leg in object control and it auto key framed between poses, however…
I did try to tweak the left foot with your pose positions but instead
of auto-key framing from one pose to another, it snapped into position. So I guess you can only tweak one hierarchy, not the sub links and so on?

And I agree with other users you guys have done a great job building the software and the fact you listen and are on top of trouble shooting anything is awesome.

    Matt,

Yes I’m running an old Mac Pro 4,1 (4) core 2009 with 32gig, OS 10.9.5

    Thanks for looking into this.

    Another test:

I created a new 30P Event in FCPX and 30p Timeline.
Imported the 29.97p Pro8 Lossless clip and (drumroll), FCP doubled the first frame causing a
jitter in the beginning but the rest played smooth. After Trimming the first few frames
    the jitter is gone.

But still the issues remain then: Why is FCPX seeing a 29.97 ProAnimator clip as a 30P?
and why is it adding frames in either 30p or 29.97 timelines?
Why is Compressor seeing the Pro8 clip as 29.942fps?

I’ve double checked to make sure the Pro8 timeline is in fact 29.97 and it is.

    Awesome, thanks.

    One added note:

Seems like a SSD by Angelbird is the best way to go for Mac as it supports TRIM (TRIM: Mac’s data deletion protection to keep SSDs from wearing out and bogging down.)
    https://www.angelbird.com/en/conf/ssd-wrk-for-mac-929/

The most popular SSD (Samsung) does not support Mac’s TRIM… and most other SSD’s you have to use terminal to activate Trim which isn’t all to safe.
I have myself enabled TRIM on a CRUCIAL and OWC SSD using code in Terminal that can be found online. But this didn’t
affect Pro8’s ability to operate on them unfortunately.

OWC has it’s own deletion firmware but you can use TRIM along side with it as added SSD wear an tear protection.

I hope you guys can figure the issue out and please test Angelbird SSDs for us Mac users that don’t have Mac OEM TRIM enabled SSDs.

Plus; Anyone having luck with a NON MAC OEM SSD and Pro8 please post what you are using.
