Object Track, SUB Group Object Animation Separate axis and Camera Issues
(IMPORTED ILLUSTRATOR LAYERS and they come in layered under one object track)
Say you have these multiple illustrator objects that make up an Object Track. Now you want to Group some of those objects to animate them while also keeping a master group of all of them. Follow?
It’s like a pre compose or a sub group timeline….Another way to put it is: I want to animate a set of objects (in a group) on there own Global axis and those grouped objects belong to a master object with its own global axis.
THE WAY IT SEEMS IS: I Select the objects in the OBJECT LIST panel and I make several groups of objects I want linked. In order to animate these groups I have to TRACK COMMAND them into a new OBJECT TRACK in order to pose them. This is limiting.
This would be sooooo much easier if there was a twirl down in the Object track to be able to pose the sub grouped objects. So, however I set up the OBJECT LIST it gets duplicated in the TimeLine.
AS of now, If I try to pose a couple of objects (of a group) that sit in (one object track). The Global and Local rotation messes everything up between the object track and the sub groups between poses.
IS WHAT I’M TRYING TO DO, POSSIBLE AND I’M JUST NOT SEEING IT?
Couple things with the camera.
1. The camera seems to hit a wall and stop when Dollying in or Z plane goes too far when positioning in 3D preview. Like it reaches its focus point and can’t go further.
You can see it happen when using two preview windows and watch the camera as you Dolly in to the focus point. Shouldn’t any move be infinite?
2. Why aren’t there position values and rotation values for accurate camera positioning? I’m having a hell of a time getting the camera level with my objects.
