We’re evaluating “Arq” right now for Mac. We have about 70 TB to back up, and LTO-5 is slow and costly. $50 per 1.5 TB tape. (then add Iron Mountain storage costs). Arq, however, is not yet compatible with Glacie… but IS for S3.

Thank you for showing me this stuff… for SDI or analog video withOUT audio, they are awesome! That fibre option is amazing!

What are my options if I’m forced to stick with analog audio and video?

I’ve been beta testing this product for about 2 months now. It is FANTASTIC. I haven’t seen an editing tool that made my jaw drop like this… It will wow you.

Is this because FCP Studio is not 64-bit?

CS4 isn’t 64-bit and it utilizes everything I have to race through renders.

Do you own After Effects CS4 or CS5? If so, they bundle “Media Encoder” which does a great job at FLV compression. Don’t expect it to handle SD anamorphic 16:9 though… for that, you’re back to Episode.
