  • Hey guys,

Our old card was an ATI Radeon HD 5770. I looked and it is compatible with Smoke. I just wish we could get out Quadro 4000 to work.

I called AJA support and spoke to Keith. After sending him screen shots of my Log and Capture window, he told me he also thinks it’s a problem with the Quadro 4000. I’m waiting for a response from Autodesk to find out if the newest Kona 3G driver is compatible with smoke.

So then I called PNY and spoke to John. I told him about the problem, which he took to his engineer who said he didn’t think updating the Kona, the Mac OS, or switching which slots the cards were in would solve the problem, that we would probably need to wait for the next driver update for the 4000 to resolve the problem.

If anyone here’s anything else or solves this problem, let us know.

    Thanks,

Mac Pro with 2x 2.63 GHz 6-core Intel Xeon
    32GB RAM
    FCP Version: 7.0.3
    OS Version: 10.6.6
Capture Card: Kona 3G (Driver version 8.1.1)
GFX Card: Nvidia Quardo 4000 (Driver Version Retail_256.01.00f03v7)

So we’re having the same problem.

I’m waiting for a response from Autodesk to find out if the newest Kona 3G driver is compatible with smoke.
