I’mTooDVDRipper will do the job. It is not free, though.

[SpatulaLogan] “1) I edited about half the project and was wondering if there is a way to transform the edited footage to the new dimensions without re-editing the whole thing? “

You can use the scale function to change the size of your captured video.

[SpatulaLogan] “2) When I change the speed of a clip, it reverts to the original size. The more I speed up or slow down a clip, the smaller the video gets. What can I do to stop/correct this? Why does this happen? “
I have NEVER seen this happen before and I do a lot of slowmo stuff. Maybe someone else with the same problem can help you out.

  • Most of my stuff that I capture is SD from VHS, MiniDV and from full sized DV tapes. However, I do not use Premiere Pro to capture my video. I generally work for clients that need something very fast and use Scenalyzer to capture from multiple sources at the same time.

  • I edit on a laptop and have absolutely no problems. Due to the lack of Firewire ports on laptops, I generally use internal hard drives in a USB2.0 enclosure and all of them work fine. Just remember to purchase hard drives with at least 7200rpm and an 8MB cache.

This would be pretty difficult to do inside of PPRO, but would be easier in AE. If you want to do this in AE, let me know and I can create a simple tutorial for you.

I am not too familiar with the program, but take a look at https://www.videohelp.com for various guides.

Copy all the files from your DVD and conver them to AVI using DVD2AVI and then import the files into PPRO. Please remember, that this will NOT work with copyrighted DVDs.

There will probably be a Video Collection 3 and I am hoping the professional version comes with Photoshop CS2
