If you have Titanium Toast all you have to do is to click the ‘copy’ tab, insert the DVD you want to copy, shut the drawer, click on the red ‘copy’ button and Toast will read the disc. Then you will be asked to insert a burnable blank disc, close the drawer and the disc should then be burnt.

By far the best tutorials are produced by Doug Jensen on his Vortex Media DVD’s. When I got my Z1 that’s what really set me up, similarly with my EX 1 later on.

Don, that’s fascinating, thanks a lot.
Presumably the expensive S X S cards for the EX cameras are single level cells, are you able to confirm that? Currently, many of us are archiving finished productions on to small (up to 1TB) drives. One always hears that “these will surely fail at some point”. What do you think that the situation is with cards? I think that anything reliable with a capacity of even say 300 GB’s would be ridiculously expensive judging by the price of the best Sony S X S cards.

Thanks Floh yes, unsyncing is easy enough but it’s the panning of each track that takes time. I usually work with centre panning for everything except for music and audio tracks come in via Sony Transfer with left and right panning. I was hoping that there may be a possibility of setting a preference, either within Transfer or Media 100.

I always give this answer, try the encoding software BitVice – it’s very good and not expensive.

On a similar subject, is it possible to set a preference for audio imports come in as centre pan?

I’m very interested to see the advice that will be forthcoming because I have similar queries. I didn’t think that there was a file size limit for Vimeo, only for YouTube. How does one get say, 30 minutes of 1920 X 1080i on to Vimeo?
