DVCPROHD 720p material looks fine when monitoring from an FCP 6.0 timeline through a Decklink SP, to a PVM14-M2U monitor. The timeline is set to 960×720 anamorphic, but with the 16:9 button unchecked. The monitor’s 16:9 button is off. Fine.

However, in Apple’s Color app, clips in the same exported timeline look just a little too tall. I’ve checked, and they’re not narrower, they’re taller. Now, in the Color app itself, the clips look fine. It’s the image on the PVM that’s too tall.

Switching on the 16:9 button on the monitor squashes ’em down way too much, so they look too wide. Not an option.

In FCP 5.1.1, these clips looked fine.

So … is it a color/Decklink interaction issue?

    Thanks,
    Steve
