I take it they are Connected so they should move.
How about if you remove it from the Storyline then move?
Or use the Position “P” tool.

Using the position tool (P shortcut) doesn’t work either!

Looks like you are selecting the clips within the right secondary as well as the secondary itself. You need to select just the shelf and not the clips (and transitions).

I hope Apple fixes the way this works because it can be rather annoying.

In the video I uploaded in my original post; am I not selecting the shelf?

It looks like, it, but look at how the clip and the transitions are selected in that one, and not in the one on the left.

Maybe try zoom in a little before you select.

Yes, I noticed that the transitions of one of the clips are selected but the ones for the other one aren’t. I can’t get FCP to select all transitions for both clips.

I tried everything I can think of. No matter what I do, it doesn’t work.

Anyone else knows if this is a bug. It’s really silly that FCP can’t do something so basic.

It’s possible. I’d suggest zooming in a little, or adjusting the size of the clips.

Also, a preferences trash won’t hurt, either.

Or try moving the left one over a little bit, and then selecting the shelves.

    I tried zooming in.

    I also tried separating them.

    Nothing works. Really strange.

    Trash prefs yet?

Quit FCPX, hold down option-command and launch FCPX.
