Thanks! That works. Yes, I saw those small vertical marks and figured they had something to do with the way things were working but had no idea how to work around that.

October 24, 2017 at 4:02 pmSometimes you have to decide what is best to put in the primary.
Often times, that might be audio. The primary controls the overall time of the sequence (for the most part). If your audio is locked, put the audio in the primary and move the video above to a connected clip and then slice it all up and move it around, retime, whatever.
An alternative way to work is to put your audio in a secondary storyline. This will “group” the audio, and force one connection point to the primary, instead of a connection point for each individual audio clip. If you move the clip the secondary is attached to, just use the tilde key to keep the audio in place.
