March 5, 2013 at 3:49 pmOk, thanks guys. You know, would it be so hard for Sony to add information like this to their user manual and release notes? Or even an addendum that described what each setting in the render templates does… or at least describe exactly what the program preference settings actually do… but then we wouldn’t need to spend 3/4 of our free time researching forums right? lol.

I agree with you there. I would love to have more information about the render templates. There are too many undocumented features.

What about HD? Sony/AVC seems to be only for standard definition.
I have a three hour kids stage production shot in HD and edited in Vegas Pro 10. The .m2t HDV file I made for the DVD is 32,000,000 KB, which is way too big to upload to my Vimeo Pro page.
Must I re-render it standard def to get it on Vimeo?

In some versions of Vegas Pro the Internet HD templates are under Sony AVC and on other versions they are under MainConcept AVC. I don’t know why Sony keeps switching them around both both encoders are perfectly capable of HD. Just make an HD template yourself.
