Was wondering if it usually take this long

Well, what codec are you converting it to? You list the audio codec (AAC), but only the frame size for video. What CODEC?

For some reason it has been stuck on 17sec left for 30min now. kinda annoying.

I’m still amazed that you think 4 hours to encode 10 hours of video to H.264 is long. That’s wicked fast.

Sure beats 48 hours to render 3 minutes of After Effects. Yeah it was a few years ago and yeah it was around 3500 layers with light rays, shatters and all sorts of stuff. But yeah, 48 hours. 3 minutes. And it was spectacular……. 🙂

Okay something is wrong. it is still stuck on 17 sec and for some reason its raping my ram.
This is really strange. Is it supposed to do this

As soon I wrote the last post the process finished and my ram usage dropped to 24%

Though shortly after ram usage kept rising until it reached 10 gb of ram usage cause I clsoed the program down after saving the project. this sounds really unhealthy and makes no sense to me.

I had six computers spend two and half weeks each last year, working around the clock, rendering 90 seconds of C4D animation. Large format, dynamics simulations, blurry reflections… it was also spectacular!

Is this the part where we ask kids to get off our lawns?
