Warning message
I’ve had problems with retrieving events from my ‘Sony projects’ file. I lost (or so I think) almost an entire event yesterday and decided to devide and work on the project in smaller events and then nest them as the entire project was always crashing. I assumed this was due to being too large with a lot happening. Now, I keep getting this warning message: An error occurred during the current operation.
Some streams in the media file could not be opened.
I’m at a complete loss here.. Help please

Thanks Graham, but both drives have plenty of space left. On the computer, 1.33 tb available and ext drive 800 gb. ?

I think I loaded the bak file and then it only partially loaded, eg, Some footage loads and the audio track is there but with no audio.

Hmmm… See how much you can salvage from the BAK. Also COPY that BAK and call it something like SalvagingVeg 1a.veg – at least you can then retain the BAK intact.
Then I’d go through each and every Event and check to see if any of them had been MIA.
We’ve all been here before now.

Things like this are why I obsessively save incremental version of all projects, sometimes at 15 min intervals.
MyProjectA, MyProjectB, MyProjectC … MyProjectDZ and so forth.
Not that this helps you now. Sorry.

Thanks for that Steve, but I did just that. I saved the intro and 2 different events for the content and 1 for the ending. The problem is when I go to open a file, it doesn’t load or just a bit of it loads and for both I get the warning message, some of the files could not be opened!

I just tried to load my intro, nothing loads at all and I get a pop up saying; The following file could not be found in the specified location.
Also this program seems to just get more and more proplems. I’ve scanned, defragged, checked disk integrity etc. I’m at my wits end now. I simply don’t know what to do.Desperate
