Try the drivers/firmware listed on this page:

Yes, that configuration is correct. Think of the Shuttle as a pass-through device.

    Setting in 360: 720p = HD 720 p 59.94 in Media Express.

    Setting in 360: 1080i = HD 1080 i 59.94 in Media Express.

    Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0 can’t do 1080 p 59.94.

Another thing I thought about is possibly the HDMI cable. Try using component, though I don’t own a 360, so I’m not sure if it offers that as an output.

ithought the intel link i posted was the latest one i was quite wrong it was from december 2011 i think that might be the culprit i selected the (Version 2.1.28.1 Pour Windows Xp/Vista/7 32/64bits) 19/1/2012 and have just installed it and restarted.

Im going to try those video settings now for the xbox, how do find out what resolution my camera displays at btw? and are there other alternative programs to black magic express i can test?

Ill try component cables if i get the chance atm all i have is hdmi

ill post back again with results attempting now appreciate the help once again guys hopefully this works now.

so i attempted with my xbox again, setting it to 720p again and set it to 720p 59.4 in media express still to no avail just a black screen on blackmagic express and my monitor flickers inbetween and when i unplug the shuttle but shows no signal.
did the same with 1080i no dice not sure what i should do next or what i mightve done wrong,
is it possible for someone to help me over teamviewer or something?
Just attempted with my camera on all the settings none of them picked up, plugged camera nd 360 directly to monitor just to double check they work.

im so tilted been a few hours now, ive reinstalled the drivers the firmware should be up to date
what should i try next i may have missed?

https://imgur.com/Uw2EP screen is either in this state or switches to display the blackmagic design logo on startup

I would still suggest using component connections.

Heck, just try composite. Use any source that has a composite output (yellow jack), set the Shuttle to NTSC (or PAL if that’s your region), and try that.

i dont really know the difference between composite and component lol hell even av but this is my findings so far:

tried using composite cable have pics to see what happened

tried using my camera first plugged the av cables into the yellow and white slots since i didnt know where else to put them even though there was no read input i could use
-came out blank in media express, monitor showed nothing
https://imgur.com/UHZuB – this is the cable that came with my camera still dont know what resolution it uses so i tried all off them since i think these were standard definition i used the hdmi cable for the camera to see if anything would work but nothing at all 🙁

went back to my xbox 360 got i think the composite cable put it into the shuttle as shown in the pic
    – nothing came on monitor, nothing came on the media express aswell

    https://imgur.com/PlxxV -nothing worked sadly

since nothing was working i decided to attempt to put it in the RGB since i had nothing else to try and lo and behold i made some progress after 12 hours
-nothing came up on black magic express
-monitor showed picture but it was black and white with no sound, im in london/uk which is a pal region tried all the pal settings no change, and all the ntsc ones for the hell of it still no change or improvement

https://imgur.com/Yjv1z – put it in the inputs which were green, blue and red to see if any results

https://imgur.com/lyTxG – (a new hope lol) black and white image fuzzy round the top still no sound

-I tried to capture each time got frame dropped message
-finally when there was an image on the monitor i tried capturing and it allowed me to this time but the express app was blank and the captured files were just black screens
this was with the blurry black and white image on the the monitor

After that attempted to try and mix and match the composite ports didnt get any sound at all throughout and only managed to produce a blue screen.

    https://imgur.com/pe0AG – Blue screen 🙁 no dice

So erm im pretty stuck now not sure what to do next? 🙁 ill get this working somehow with my perserverance. Greatful for all the help so far. If you need any more details ill add them.

Louie, I may have found your problem.

Use HDMI only. Go into Windows Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, and there should be the Blackmagic Control Panel software. Open it up, and I bet the input is set to HDMI with HDMI sound. Change it to component, then click Apply. Then change it back to HDMI with HDMI sound, click Apply, and see if that helps.

😮 lol i tried that during the day and it worked!!!!1 i came across the info in a post from 2 years ago on another forums :S finally works for both my xbox and camera!

I have to use pal progressive for the camera and 1080i 59.94 for my xbox.

Now i need to work out how to stream footage and or record stuff seems my hard drive is far too slow clockin speeds around 70 write speed and 50 read speed
