  • Up/Down arrow shortcut in premiere 6.5 – what’s the equivalent in CS3?

    In premiere 6.5,
with the selected clip in timeline
I can just move the edit line (red needle)
by hitting up/down arrow to go to in/out point.

    But now in cs3,
I have to define or mark
    “in/out around selection” first,
then hit Q or W to move the needle
to in/out point of the selected clip.

As I’m used to do this when editing with prem6.5,
I really hope cs3 can do the same.

    I know there’s PageUp & PageDown
to go to the next edit, but if there are
many cut clip below/above the layer, it will go to
every cut where ever there is a cut clip in any layer.

BTW, if I dont mark “in/out around selection”
why the Q and W result is the same with
Home and End keyboard shortcut in cs3 ?
It moves to the beginning / end of sequence.

    Thanks in advanced.

I haven’t used Premiere 6.x in many years, but try page up/page down to see if that helps.

    Thank you for your reply.

    Yes, I’ve tried the PageUP/Down
but it annoyed me, if I need to move the needle
just to the in/out point of the selected clip
and if I have some cut clips below the selected track,
the needle will move to any in/out point
of the cut clips below it first, then finally
reach the in/out point of my selected clip.

Anyway, thank you for your reply…:-)
