Do this test. Sequence 1920×1080. Take a 4k clip and put it on the timeline. Then apply transform effect. Do a zoom from 200% to 50%. Render, all looks ok. The turn on motion blur in the transform effect. 180 shutter or greater. Then render. For some reason the image now is no longer centered. Has been this way for years.

    Hey Mark,

That just sounds wrong – but as there are never any bugs in Adobe Premiere Pro…
    …oh, hang on.

(Click the link below if you are in a rush, and ignore the rest of my post)

I was going to suggest that you nest those clips, and then see what happens.

Then decided to do search for “Transform Effect” as I don’t use it. Adobe Premiere Pro site is useless if you search for “Transform Effect”, and if you just search for “Transform” you might as well open the Web-Everything folder 😉

However, there is another site on the top 8 Google search:
    https://creativecow.net/forums/thread/transform-effect-problem-premiere/

And, it suggests that nesting might be the best way to avoid the problem.

Please do share if this works for you?

    (bugs – 😀)

Yes nesting is a workaround but I try to avoid nesting unless I really need it. (helps with other workflows, render time and dealing with various social resolutions and aspect ratios)

I only see this when I am placing a different resolution clip into the timeline. (lower or higher resolution)
