We have 5 MAC PROs, 4 are running Leopard with FCS2 and one is running Snow leopard with FCS3.

We want to retrograde the FCS3 install to FCS2 and are having troubles.

So, we want to “ghost” one of our FCS2 box system drives and then simply re-input the Ser# for FCS2 for the 5th box. However, we are not getting a bootable drive.

What’s the method to create a 1:1 bootable copy of a system drive?

If this works we’ll have 5 identical systems running Leopard and at then end of the project we’ll be able to revert the 5th box to Snow Leopard and FCS3 with ease.

You need to use a utility like Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper.

I use SuperDuper. Just make sure the checkbox for bootable clone is on.

Non-linear: all the time and nothing but.
