Suddenly my Brushes and Eraser are not working properly

I have tremendous problems with all my brush tools in CS6… I’ve even tried re-installing CS6, gone the Reset Tools & Reset All Tools option, etc. I get this “cross haired” problem the moment some of the brush tools exceed 125px and others 400px, up until 1200px I get this “cross haired” problem. PLEASE HELP I’m totally stuck!!! Thanks

Another possible reason that your brush, eraser, etc do not seem to be working is that you have a selection made. If you have a selection made, for example a small area you selected, you won’t be able to make change to things outside that selection. On the file menu bar at the top, open the “Select” menu and click “Deselect”. Your drawing tools should work now. Enjoy!
