November 5, 2013 at 10:57 pmHi!
Same here, problems with my output file after rendering. My footage is 1920×1080, 50fps and 24Mbps for my camera Panasonic hc x920. Recording format AVCHD. I also have recorded with 5.1ch surround.Recently I got Movie Studio Platinum Suite 12 and have problems with the output file when I render as Sony AVC – AVCHD 1920×1080 50i, 5.1 surround. It takes much longer to render than other output options and after some seconds the screen freeze but audio still going.
I will check the CPU next time I open the program.
But I wonder, is it the best to render an AVCHD file to another AVCHD? I read your answer John Rofrano in another thread;“[Nelson Gama] “Which render settings I must use for 1920×1080 videos?”
If you wan tto render a file to use in DVD Architect then use File | Render as…
Render the video as:
Save as type: Sony AVC
Template: Blu-ray 1920×1080-50i, 16 Mbps video streamThen render the audio as:
Save as type: Dolby Digital AC-3 Pro
Template: Stereo DVD or 5.1 Surround (depending on your project)”Is this better than render to ADCHD format? Maybe I want to burn a Bluray later but right now just want to create a movie on hard drive with the best quality I can get from my footage. Which render settings is the best?
Thanks in advance from Sweden.

November 27, 2013 at 11:42 amOh dear I seem to be having this problem now as well. I’m losing image quality at the beginning of my video and then I gain the quality back 5 seconds later. I tried checking two-pass and turning off the GPU option but nothing works. This only happens when I upload the video to Youtube by the way. Everything is fine when I render it and get the raw MP4 file. I am using the MainConcept Internet HD 720p template when I render it. Help please?

February 25, 2014 at 4:55 amI was having the same problem and was only able to resolve this with your sugestions. Thank you very much for your help.
Nothing was working, the only thing that worked for me was check the two-pass option. The video take more time to render, but the image quality was better, and no more bad quality parts, finaly!

October 15, 2014 at 7:07 amI have had similar problems, the only thing that worked for me was using 720p instead of 1080p. many many renders of all possible options but only 720p video worked. Must be my laptop not powerful enough.

May 27, 2015 at 9:49 pmHello,
I’ve been having similar issues with rendering in my SV12 Pro. I was wondering where that “Two-Pass” option is exactly? I also tried the Sony AVC Encoder and it helped, but the quality seemed a little better on the first. -Thanks

It’s on the Video tab in MainConcept AVC when you select Customize Template…

Render at a higher bit rate. It looks like compression artifacts due to not having enough bits to accurately reconstruct the image.

December 4, 2015 at 5:49 pmI don’t think it’s your laptop-my screaming fast desktop is choppy now too unless i render at 720-which is strange-before I had to reload Windows 7 I never had a problem-EVER-now it’s awful at 1080p for internet render. i have Movie Studio 11 not Vegas though
