    Huge problem. While masking in Sony Vegas Pro 8.0, I accidentally managed to move the ‘Pan/Crop’ menu off the page, and cannot seem to get it back. I tried setting it back to default settings, but I’m afraid it didn’t work. If anyone has any possible solutions, PLEASE let me know.

    I’ve had this happen to me before but it usually is the preview window. It’s still there it is most likely hiding under your task bar. Click and hold your mouse over the task bar edge and drag it to a minimize position. It should be there, if not then look for it possibly docked (joined) with another window, indicated by … and a tab selection. Other ways I have found it is to watch the screen in different areas and repeatedly select and deselect the desired window in the hopes of catching a glimpse. When all else fails holding down cntrl shift while launching Vegas will restore all the original settings and you will get your window back. Hope this helps

    I’m afraid I tried all of them, and it didn’t work. T_T

    Really not even the ctrl shift reset on start up? That is unusual. Are you using dual monitors? I have dual here and that can happen but you should still see it. If you have done everything as I have suggested then you will need to reinstall the software. I can’t fathom why your window would not return if you’ve done the steps. is there a way you can send a copy of what you are seeing? I’m sure the window is just hiding underneath another or under the windows task bar.

    Yep. I tried that too. Nothing happened, it just started faster.

    Hmmm….I wish I could, but I’m afraid I don’t know how to take snapshots like that. T_T Reinstalling would be a lot of trouble…So I’m trying to find a way to fix it. I’m sure it can be fixed, I just can’t seem to figure it out. XD I mean, the program still works, I just want my Pan/Crop effects back. XD

    OK if that is not working then try this but be sure to follow exactly what is stated.

    First of all, be advised that this isn’t a place to play around in, especially if you don’t know what you’re doing.
    A mistake may mean an uninstall-reinstall of Vegas.

    Hold down the SHIFT key and choose Options – Preferences
    Go to the now visible “Internal” tab;
    In the Reset all settings at startup”;
    change that setting from “False” to “True”; ( Just doubel click in the box and type it in)
    Click OK and exit Preferences.

    If this works then on restart go back in a change it back to TRUE so that any changes you have made will remain. I’ll check back to see if it worked.

    OK Ok OK I got it…know exactly what you did to lose it. I just duplicated it and for sure you wont see it.

    Open Vegas select pan crop on any media. Watch quickly as the window will be transparent and then move off screen in the direction that you lost it.

    It is under the task bar for sure. Click and drag the task bar until it becomes large. Then place your mouse at the very bottom of the screen, click and drag your window back to where is should be. It might take a little practice but I promise the window is there. when you make the Task bar large you just might see the top of the Pan/Crop window. Let me know…I’ll be here

    Are you talking about the task bar on the SIDE or the one at the top? Cause I tried the top one and it won’t let me re size it.

    The task bar is where START is located on your windows desktop, it can be on any edge of the screen depending on where you placed it. Default is at the bottom

    Still won’t let me do anything to it. -_- Is there an unlock option that I should be aware of?
