    Hi All

I’m posting this here because I know that many of you have, and love, these Sony monitors.

I tried searching the archive, but I couldn’t find the answer to this question. I have a chance to buy a slightly used 14L5, but it’s not a /1. It was made in May of 2004. Am I going to be missing much not having a /1? And yes, I’m sure its not a /1. The monitor itself doesn’t say it is and the manual doesn’t say it is.

Normally I’d buy a new/newer one, but I think most of you know that’s not possible anymore.

    Thanks.

    Tim

/1 allows viewing of 1080p24 material. it plays is as 1080i48 (24 PsF). I know that there was a time where the monitor was a /1 but it didn’t say it on the monitor or anywhere else. It was a manufacturing date that set it apart.
