  Sony Bars not 100% ?

  Hello all, I just started working on a weekly religious show with Vegas 8 for export to DVCAM, and noticed something weird.

  When I start a new project (NTSC DV) and insert: 30 of bars at the head, I noticed the 100% white bar only peeks at about 85% and the “steps” are about 10 IRE low of the green lines. The weird thing is that when I check the RGB and 7.5 boxes (I always leave 7.5 on, BTW) it is perfectly at 100% and aligned with the green lines on the scope. Video levels on the show seem good, and I haven’t gotten any complaints from the broadcaster, but I would really like to resolve this.

  Anyone know what I’m doing wrong?
