September 18, 2020 at 2:46 pmI worked at a church, I understand…. many broadcasters can’t afford the full upgrade to HD. But you’re biggest issue, like has been said, is downgrading the video from HD to MP2. I’m assuming you aren’t recording to H264. ProRes maybe out of your switcher? One thing to try and keep your video from degrading too quickly is I would avoid using your lossy h264 as your main file. I would render the program out to something like ProRes Mov, then use that to transcode to your MP2 and H264 files from. Not sure how much that will help, but anything that prevents huge loss in data can’t hurt.
