  renaming clips in large batches

  So I’ve edited an entire TV episode (animatic for a cartoon). We want to update the storyboard according to my edit. The art department is asking if I can rename every shot I have used in the edit, all in numerical order. The first shot in the edit could 000001.mov, second shot is 000002.mov, etc.

  I’m wondering if an automated approach exists where I would be able to accomplish such a feat? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Please help!
