February 14, 2015 at 7:41 amHi Duc.
I’ve never had the v1.02 update file.
I think you should be ok to use the 1.05 version, which uses the same install process, and then continue up from there.
The install method changes slightly at v1.20Did you try going to 1.05?
Regards,
Julian.

February 16, 2015 at 5:37 pmJulian, I downloaded the dropbox links you sent me. Unfortunately I was not able to start updating the EX1 because for some reason my Windows 7 computer does not recognize the EX1, as in it doesn’t find the driver for it. So when I unzipped lets say version 1.05 and launched the BinaryPackageLoader (after having connected the EX1 through USB and turning it on) the “Start to Install” button was greyed out which means it wouldn’t update, so basically the computer did no recognize the camera (The New Hardware Wizard window never popped up). What can I do? How do I find the required driver? Do the dropbox links really ONLY work on Vista and XP?

Yes, I believe they do only work under XP. (Well at least the earlier versions).
I’ve only used them using an old XP laptop, but I’m pretty sure somewhere earlier in this thread someone tried updating using windows 7, but they had to eventually dig out an old xp machine.Regards,
Julian.

Sorry, I’ve been away for a couple of days, but if you give me an email address I can invite you to my dropbox share.
It may be best to set up a temporary free/disposable one just to download the files.Julian.

March 2, 2015 at 6:11 pmFrom My EX1 came with 1.15 and I needed to contact Sony to go through the update procedures over the phone. At the time I updated to 1.26. This solved many problems with using SDHC card with an adapter.

I’m waiting for a call back now to update to the latest firmware. I believe it might be 1.3. Has anyone done this? Is there any improvements in functionality? Faster start-up?

March 31, 2015 at 9:18 amHi Julian
I have an EX1 here that came in for various repairs and the owner has asked if I can perform a firmware upgrade. The unit is currently at 1.03. I understand that I have to upgrade incrementally and I would really appreciate a link to your dropbox of upgrade files. Thank for all your help and cheers!
