January 1, 2006 at 7:51 pmIt will depend on your sequence settings and the clip settings your are trying to put on the second track. Also you may want to try unlimited RT and playback set to dynamic.

January 1, 2006 at 7:58 pmDont know how to find the uncompressed settings. Its set at DVCPRO50
I’m not a techy but I think the two 400 gig drives where raided internally they are fast for HD ready.

January 1, 2006 at 8:07 pmThanks I have an Orange render bar. But when I add two tracks I get a message saying turn off unlimited RT. I do that and get a red bar.
Somethings not right.
When I out put to video does FCP render?
Also when I print to video to record to Betcam 2800 do I have to manual press the Betacam to Record. The M100 does this automaticly.
Thanks.

May I ask, exactly why are you capturing Betacam as DV/DVCPro?

I’m not certain how many hours you are trying to capture, but normally Betacam is captured at 8-bit uncompressed or, in an effort to save hard drive space, JPEG. I seem to remember having a similar discussion back a while ago. Are you capturing as DVPro because you’re intercutting with real DV?

January 1, 2006 at 10:09 pmI just thought DVCPRO was the best codec. Motion JPEG B? Not sure what to do. Its just a short piece 3 min final edit and I’ve got loads of room. I’m not going to redigitize it later. So I want to bring it in at a high quality.
Thanks
Peter
