I should add, bar the ludicrous ranting –

I am not in any sense referring to Randy Ubillos the individual, I am only referring to Randy Ubillos the Hal9000 progenitor of FCPX, and in that fashion alone.

The man himself is palpably a dude who bashes out to antarctica and merrily throws himself into water penguins might well be scared of.

[Jeremy Garchow] “I guess. I think camera manufacturers need to step up and prevent rolling shutter altogether. :)”
    You are right Jeremy.
The way the CMOS works makes rolling shutter unavoidable.
A new generation of sensors is needed and I think Canon is on he right direction.
Look at this. I think is amazing.

They just need global shutters, but they also present limitations and are probably more expensive.

Then theres no more rolling shutter. CMOS or not.

I’m pretty sure phantoms have global shutter.

[Gerry Fraiberg] “It would appear that this Antarctica Video was edited in iMovie, based on the opening graphics which are part of the iMovie package – not FCP X.”

Actually, those graphics are from the Photo Album theme. A theme that was ported over to FCPX from iMovie. This could very well have been cut in FCP X.
