    Hey Editing Gurus,

Switched to Windows 10 from mac, but I still shoot on many cameras that record .mov’s (including my iphone).

I love how the latest Adobe Suite can natively handle quicktimes and even render them on Windows… BUT windows still can’t natively show the thumbnails, which means I have to import everything into Premiere to take a look at it. Does any one know of a tool that let’s you preview quicktimes in Windows Explorer?

    I found ICAROS…

…but wanted to get any advice before installing it. I don’t want to do anything that messes up Adobe’s already awesome functionality.

Outside of Premiere, I use VLC to play back the quicktimes no problem, but I really need to see thumbnails in explorer to sort footage.

    THANKS!

One of the first things I add to my systems is Videolan’s VLC Media Player. A very handy item to have.

    System:
    Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
    Win 7 64-bit
    32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2017.1 (as of 8/2017)
    256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from UHD MP4, HD MP4, and HD P2 MXF.
