  • Preserve tape name metadata AE > PPro?

    Hi Guys,

I’m trying to re-organise and make sense of a messy old AE project that has hundreds of clips and sequences which I need to copy & paste into Premiere…

When I copy & paste clips/sequences from the AE timeline > PPro it retains all my edits and nests any precomps nicely. Annoyingly I then have to manually move all these pasted assets into correct bin in project panel as I go, but that’s not too bad…

Main omission I am finding is that when I do this the tape name metadata that shows in my AE project panel, doesn’t translate across in my PPro Bin. I don’t want to lose track of where footage comes from, as I know it will bite me in the @ss later!

If I reveal in finder and then manually import into PPro it DOES retain tape name, but that workflow doesn’t do what I need it to.

Any ideas why or how I could fix this?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jim.
