Premiere to DCP Workflow

anything imported into premiere gets forced converted to rec. 709 gamma 2.2. so you’ll need a lut transform.
see what the post house wants. jpeg2000, mxf, xyz color, gamma 2.4, white point D65, D63 etc…

premiere’s wraptor DCP only accepts rec. 709 gamma 2.2, D65 so you’ll need a lut for it. or you can use easydcp, dcp-omatic

if you do it yourself, make sure you use the right color primaries

Thanks Chris. The post-house is simply asking for us to provide what color profile the project was colored in, then they’ll convert it.

Since it’s now gamma 2.2 in Premiere, should I still tell them it’s 2.4 to make it accurate?

Or as you suggested, apply a lut transform to 2.4 then provide them the film? If so, could you point me to the best way to perform the lut transform?

it depends if the color is burned in via utility color profile converter or was simply assigned in metadata.
metadata gets ignored in premiere. you should compare it against AE/photoshop for quality control.
