Premiere Pro CS 6.6 zoomed sequence clip
Posted by Nick Vanderhoff on February 7, 2013 at 11:07 amI’m wanting to have the clip that’s in the window next to my source clip to look exactly like the source clip. I’m hating that it’s zoomed in and I want it to be zoomed correctly for export.

At lower left of Program window, you might see “100%” or some variation. Hit the drop down there and choose “Fit”.

February 7, 2013 at 6:43 pmGood catch Ann, I didn’t think of it that way.
In Premiere, highlight the Sequence window, then at the top menu, go to Sequence > Sequence Settings and look at the Editing Mode. Should match your source footage.
In the Project panel, you can right-click on a clip and hit Properties to see what the source clip format is, for instance “1920×1080 29.97”. If unsure about how to select the correct Sequence to match your source clips, just drag a clip onto the New Item icon at bottom right of Project window (next to trash can). This will create a New Sequence to match your footage properly.
Currently, if you for instance have 1080p clips in a DV sequence, that would explain the magnified view in the Program viewer, if it is already set to “Fit”.
Thanks
