Oh my god, thank you!!! I just spent two hours troubleshooting an issue that seemed to be much more complex, but in the end it was just a backslash in the project name. This seems like a very silly issue, but I’m thrilled that you led me to the solution. Thanks again.

    GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Took me less than 5 secs to do this, instead of frying my brain and wasting more time.

    THOMAS YOU FRIGGING ROCK!
    Thanks

I fought with this issue for two days on a project. Premiere wouldn’t let me render or export. i tried clearing all temporary files and rendered files tried moving the whole project onto a different mac.

In the end all i needed to do was change the name of my project and take out this character ” / ”

    Problem solved!

What was the solution to this issue for those of us with a PC? I am using Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 on Windows 7. Thanks.

Thank you very much, that would seem to be the solution! No slash (“/”) symbol in the filename.

All the best, and ciao from Italy!

In Windows, right click the folder you want to use as your scratch disk. In the Attributes section, click to clear the blue box next to “Read Only” and you should be good to go. This happened to all my folders after a windows update.

The removal of the backslash worked for me.

There is no “Attributes” section in the list of choices when I right click. What system are you running?

Ok, so I see where you’re talking about. I unclicked the blue box, but it goes back to blue as soon as I hit “Apply” and “Ok”. Also, all my folders in all my drives are checked blue…..but I only have the issue with one project.
