PPRO CC 2014 Annoying Playhead Behaviour

It’s a known issue to Adobe with OSX 10.11 El Capitan. Google “Premiere Wandering Playhead”.

On the Adobe support website, an employee said it “might be” fixed on the next update. So get used to hanging around waiting for that playhead to catch up. I’m ready to downgrade to Yosemite to see if that fixes it. Because from the frequency of Adobe’s replies, it’s pretty clear that they have no intention of making this a priority, despite the fact that editors are losing precious time over this bug.

I’m having the same issue.
It’s not a solution for the problem but I found that if you keep scrubbing and set your “in” and “out” without releasing the mouse button the playhead won’t wander. It’s the only way to work without losing your mind with the crazy playhead behavior.

I was also wondering if this has anything to do with the “MagicPrefs” app I have installed to make the trackpad and magic mouse quicker. Does anyone have this app installed?
