Can anyone give me advice on how or what to use to get a PowerPoint presentation into a video. I have a few upcoming presentations that I need to video to produce instructional DVDs. Each of these presentors will be using PowerPoint as part of their presentation. I need a good way to make a video file out of the PowerPoint that I can edit into the final DVD. Any advice?

The quick and dirty way is to shoot the presentation as it’s being played back on an LCD monitor.
This avoids the flicker associated with a CRT but the quality will leave something to be desired.

The free way is to save each slide as a PNG and import those into Vegas.
The drawback is that you lose any animations that were in the original presentation.

The expensive way ($300.00 U.S.) is to use Camtasia Studio to save the presentation out as an AVI which you then bring into Vegas.
