Activity Forums DaVinci Resolve Playback stalls on Network Drives

    What was the resolution on this? Did you hear back form BM? They are usually very prompt about these kinds of things.

    Haven’t heard back from them. It appears that the issue doesn’t happen on Macs. So it’s a network mounted drive on Windows that is the problem.

    Then do bug Facilis – they will get back to you at some point shortly. I am looking at using Facilis Storage and this is a real sticking point for us…

    Facilis is looking into it. I suspect it is going to come down to something Resolve is doing with network attached drives in Windows.

    For the meantime, our workaround is to use the Terrablock drives in single user mount mode instead of MultiWrite.

    What is the Network adapter driver and version for the Windows systems. Please also include date info.

    Driver date for the Fiber network card.

    The driver version is 2.66 the flash is July, 28th, 2010: which is the Facilis approved driver and firmware.

    Yep that is the latest one since it has been discontinued. Outside of checking for advance settings to streamline the network processing, I cant see a way to fix this on the adapter side.

    Well, we are using the same adapters on Macs on the same Terrablocks and they don’t have the same issue. 🙁
