December 2, 2008 at 5:21 pmJeremy,
Thanks for getting back to me. I don’t have Perian installed, but I do have FxFactory 2.0.5. I actually removed that because I knew there were issues when 2.0 first came out, but had the same problem with it in the plugfx folder or out.
I’m not quite sure which codec you want me to remove. The PanasonicDVCProHDCodec.component? or the DVCProHDCodec.component.
Warren
PS I’m in LA if you want to talk this through over the phone.

December 2, 2008 at 6:13 pmThat didn’t do it. created a QuickTime_disabled folder in the root of the Library folder and dragged the the PanasonicDVCProHDCodec.component into it.
I get the same results. Head of the shot is ok. The rest is black.

December 2, 2008 at 6:23 pmIt’s Mac Extended. I’ve copied it to my raid as well. The files come in on my friends PPC G5 2.7. I have an 8-Core Intel.
Now I’m removing all my plugins to see if it is a plugin conflict.

December 2, 2008 at 6:48 pmRemoved all plugins from application support except the default ones installed from FCP Studio 2 as well as the FXPlugs in the Library Plugins folder.
Still same result. From the snapshot I uploaded from my QuickTime folder anything in there I have that you don’t? I already tried removing the Canon codecs. Those got installed from my 5D, but with or without I get the same result.

December 2, 2008 at 6:59 pmI don’t have the flv component and I don’t have the ProIO stuff as I have an ioHD on this machine and it uses the other AJA Kona based frameworks that you have installed there. I have also removed the AJAUncompressed codec as it causes a color shift with AE, but that shouldn’t stop the L&T process.
I also don’t have the MXFIMporter in there as I haev MXF4mac, but that shouldn’t be causing your problems either.
I assume you trashed your FCP prefs, correct? What format and frame rate is your footage? Have you unchecked the remove advanced pulldown and duplicate frames message in the L&T window preferences?

December 2, 2008 at 7:15 pmYes, find the FFinal Cut Pro user Data folder in your prefs FILE and delete the Final Cut Pro 6.0 Prefs folder and also the thumbnail and obj cache.
You will have to rebuild a few preferences, but it’s worth it. Make sure FCp is quit before trashing.
