October 17, 2006 at 5:28 pmWe have two:
G6TC00476R
G6TC00454RThe troublesome clips come from either camera. They import fine in P2 Log or 5.1.1, and play fine in the 5.1.2 P2 Import player, but won’t import.

October 23, 2006 at 9:36 pmSame problem here, shooting DVCPRO-50, running final cut 5.1.2, QT 7.1.3. the clip looks fine in the P2 import viewer, but after adding the clip to queue, over half of the clips result in an error message, and the QT produced is 1 second in length (regardless of the clip size)…

October 24, 2006 at 4:37 amYes, this is definitely frustrating. Unfortunately I am going to have to reinstall Final Cut Studio and stop at 5.1 until this is fixed. Jan, if you read this, is there any progress on this with Panasonic or Apple? Thanks, Rik

November 9, 2006 at 7:16 pmHi There – I might have a workaround…
I was having the very same issue using my FS-100 with FCP 5.1.2 and the new QT. I shot 31 clips in 720/24p. All imported fine except one. Duration 2:20. The Import window in FCP gave me the stop sign of death and the clip title had (Spanned) next to the file name. No matter how many times I tried to import it, it failed. However, I have access to a MacBook Pro with a copy of FCP 5.1 on it. Connected the drive, opened the old import window and imported my clip no problem. Burnt to a dvd and carried it into my edit in 5.1.2.
That was my experience. Not a fix but at least it worked for today. Come on Apple and Focus! Lets get this fixed!

November 23, 2006 at 12:21 pmHI,
I have the same problem with FCP 5.1.2 nd QT 7.1.3 – FCP only likes clips that are over 21 seconds long! I was shooting on an HVX 202 (PAL version) and recording on 2 Firestores, in DVCPROHD 1080/50i.
I’m hoping that P2 log will solve the problem – but for some reason my credit card payment keeps getting rejected!!!
Anyone with any fixes for FCP???
