What do you men by highly technical? I don’t think of FCP as very technical at all. The computer system may get technical, and general video components can be technical, but I don’t think of FCP itself as technical.

Don’t think of it as technical either in and of itself, except for codec and compression issues, aspect ratios, and all the bewildering HD formats, but I agree with Bret, it’s pretty much all here. But then, you should also check out 2pop, FCPworld, LAFCPUG and Creativecow.net.

I agree with the others. You’re looking at the FCP forum that can answer all your questions (but use the search tool as it’s probably already been answered!). We can get as technical as you like. The only other FCP forum I enjoy interacting in is LAFCPUG. The others don’t compare!

To be quite honest, the Apple FCP forum is just full of newbies and the same question comes up again and again.

You won’t get the level of professional information from a wealth of users like you will here. The Cow is simply the best site I’ve seen for all the forums to get good, professional and useful information.

you’re right Walter, it is full of newbies and they do ask the same questions over and over, but they need help too … and don’t be too quick to dismiss it either.
there’s a wealth of professional knowledge and experience on the Apple forum, and for anyone asking “what other forums are out there?” then its well worth a visit.

having said that, whilst I’ll hang out there answering questions when and if I can, if I have a question of my own then I ask it here 🙂
