OT: Laptop video to TV
Okay, I got my Canopus ADVC-100 but I don’t want to have to disconnect it from my editing computer.
I have Veas installed on my laptop for field work. Prior to now, I’d finish a 1st draft of a video for my company, print to tape with the timecode on the video. Take it down to the boss for review and corections using my Sony GV-D1000. Somewhat time consuming an a horrible waste of MiniDV tape.
So lately I’ve been just rendering to AVI, put it on my external HD and bring my laptop down and use Windows Media Player. But don’t have the controls I need. Fast Forward sucks and can’t slow it down and the slider bar is not specific enough.
So I thought maybe to hook up the laptop to the TV somehow and just use Vegas. Laptop’s Toshiba and has a S-video but don’t know if it’s in or out. Plus I’d need a S-video to RCA adapter as the TV’s at work are ancient.
Anyone got any simple and cheap (under $100) ideas? ….and no I don’t have a projector yet, can’t afford one! 😉
