January 21, 2009 at 12:21 pmMy new Hitachi Ultra Enterprise drives showed up yesterday from MaxxDigital. All 16 of them with some new RAID chassis too. I’ll be glad to just have those Seagate drives out of the shop today. Took us almost a month to trace the issues with our new shared storage system back to those drives. Nothing more aggravating when everything in the system checks out but we were still getting hiccups along the way.
Now we should really be good to rock and roll.

Got the new arrays fired up with the Hitatchi drives and it’s like night and day. These things smoke with zero issues. Whew! Glad that’s over with!
