Missing Edit Tab in FCP 7

You tell me, it’s happening to you.

I meant, “how do you do the move to basics forum’ – – which I did.

Sometimes I get weird drawing glitches on menus, such as two applications’ menus being drawn over the top of each other.
However, issues like these are purely cosmetic and it’s simply a matter of cmd-tabbing away and then back again or clicking on a menu item and moving the mouse horizontally.
Do these suggestions fix the issue or is your Edit menu actually missing?

That’s a permanant link on Creative Cow. I didn’t put that there. 😉 It’s on the bottom of every post in the FCP forum.

That’s exactly why I asked if the menu ripples or not. I thoght it might be some sort of display issue as well.

ME TOO!!!
This is not constant condition with me and, because I know the keyboard shortcuts, I seldom notice that it is missing.
I find that quitting and restarting Final Cut restores the EDIT tab. And when I have quite I usually trash prefs too.
So I have no answer, but …
Hey – it could be worse, right? But I can’t trace it to anything and you are the first person I have encountered you has this issue.

Am rebuilding permissions after using diskwarrior, then I will try your suggestions. the ripple is automatic, edit tab simply gone and only in this program.

I have tried EVERYTHING — and I can’t find a solution.
I live with it and simply tell myself that FCS was not written to military spec.
