Missing Edit Tab in FCP 7

my solution was to go in and find the motion plugins were located in Motion’s plugin as well as FCP plugins directory. After several trials, it came down to deleting the the files in the motions folder (leaving them in the FCP Plugins folder) and then when I selected the A button Under the VIEWER Box in FCP, the EDIT Tab did not disappear.

Has anybody found a solution for missing Edit menu option?

It is August 22nd 2012 – – Can somebody please help me figure out WHY when clicking the ‘A” tab in the viewer in FCP 7, EDIT, and some others in the MENU BAR at the top DISAPPEAR!!!! ALSO, when I am editing in FCP 7 and go to click on the menu bar, like FILE, EDIT, EFFECTS whatever – – it HESITATES, then the beach ball spins – – THEN finally, the drop down menu then appears!!!! What is the problem!?!?!?!?!!? Saw the previous thread regarding this situation, but I don’t have the same file structure, so where are the plugins you are talking about to REMOVE?????????
Does ANYBODY have this problem?????? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
