Maybe a stupid question
When I want to ad a videoclip to the timeline without the audio, I lock the audio tracks. Simple. But when I add the clip on a higher video track, FCP just adds other audio tracks to my locked video tracks, so that the audio does get in anyway. Is there a quick solution for this??

Disconnect the little audio tabs from the timeline. Look on the left, where you see A1 and A2. Click on those to disconnect them from the timeline, now drop your video in.
