    Here is a question:
I have a project that I wanted to make a variation of, so I made a copy of the fcp file, renamed it, then modified it, cutting the project down for a shorter piece.
Well, when I went back to the original project I had copied it from and opened that, I found that a lot of the rendering had disappeared, specifically things that I had deleted out of the new project.
    What am I doing wrong?

if you want to modify your project, just duplicate the sequence in the browser and edit the new sequence

[Rob Grauert] “just duplicate the sequence in the browser and edit the new sequence

Pardon my young friend Rob for leaving out the most important part, which is, right click on the current version of the sequence in the browser, and choose “duplicate” there. A new version with the word “copy” in the description will be created, and then you can rename it to whatever you so desire.
