It’s 10:00 in San Francisco and Phil Schiller’s been on stage for more than an hour and I’m watching a couple of live blogs from the audience. So far, what was supposed to be “all about the Mac” is all about iLife and iWorks. New weirdly complex features in iPhoto, Pages, Garage Band and “cute” transitions and effects in Keynote.
    B-o-r-ing.
    Still waiting for something intersting.

Should I upgrade to CS4 now – so I can start authoring Blu-Ray??
Clients are finally asking about Blu-Ray and I don’t have a response.

First, check out Toast 10 Titanium Pro, on the shelves just about now, before shelling out the big bucks for CS4. It might do the job… On the other hand, it might not, that still remains to be seen.

Up to 8 gigs of RAM in the new MBP, up to 2.93 processor, 1920×1200 screen res, with an $50 anti-glare option.
Someone hacked into MacRumorsLive site while the presentation was going. They inserted stuff like:
    9:23 Showing iWork ’09
    9:24 Steve Jobs died

They shut down the site till the show was over.

Wouldn’t it really be cool if they tracked down that hacker and publicly eviscerated him/her live on the Internet?

I just had a flashback to the death scene from Braveheart.

Good visual… That’s just what I had in mind… The sharp implements they chose for that scene were all that was needed.
