No there’s two versions of the driver, the regular and NDD. NDD fixes issues like this, but you won’t be able to use the mac desktop out of your Kona card.
Look at this page, and look at the link down from the top:
https://www.aja.com/support/kona/kona-lhi.php
It’s marked v7.5 NDD.
Here’s the link for your convenience:
https://www.aja.com/ajashare/AJA_KonaLHi_NDD_7.5.zip
Make sure to install v7.5 first using the AJA uninstaller, then reinstall the newly downloaded 7.5 NDD.

March 17, 2010 at 9:44 pmA fix I got for this is when the problem starts to happen, hit Apple+F12 to take the PLayback screen away for a couple seconds and then re-hit Apple+F12 to put monitor back up and the problem goes away.

March 26, 2010 at 7:31 amIf you’re using a breakout box, try connecting your Kona card output directly to your monitor bypassing the BOB. Maybe the BOB has the problem and not the card…Just a thought!!!

April 1, 2010 at 9:01 pmwell after changing the driver to NDD and moving around the slots to recommend slot has not stopped it from flickering. Yes I found a work around, but when it started to happen frequently, its annoying. So will be calling aja again and will get the same wow, we’ve never heard of that response.

April 5, 2010 at 11:54 pmWell its not the card…. cause the new card which was sent by AJA is doing the same thing the old one did. SO I am going to put my setups up here and see if anyone has any possible solutions….
