    https://www.apple.com/finalcutpro/whats-new/

New features “roadmap” for the year now publicly on apple’s site. Start drumroll… NOW!

    Screenshot:

Also info on the features from the WWDC-keynote (retina resolution, 9 streams of 1080p ProRes 422 and such).

The question is- when is “later”? Later as in the latter part, or later as in “not right away, but rather soonish”?

    FCP X can wait.

Lets mourn the loss of Mac Pro first 🙁

He wants to know about all kinds of things: ancient history, nineteenth-century mathematics, current manufacturing techniques, flower arranging, and hog futures. But he has faith that it will happen.” — Carl Ally

It’s not dead, it’s in a coma and it’s hooked up to life support just waiting to have the plug pulled

Is anyone even going to buy one of these “new” MacPro’s? Without Thunderbolt or USB3 what’s the point? The speed bump is minimal…

Bah. To talk about the non-news of the Mac Pro isn’t quite that interesting as I first thought.

Oh yes, I would like a new one. If it does arrive, it’ll be something to discuss. If apple does away with it, it’ll be something to discuss. Right now though, It’s neither. Until that changes, which I suspect it will rather soon…

Oh- better mourn the death of the iPod, iMac, Mac Mini and every other peace of hardware they didn’t show as well.

    No duh….

Ah, but congress will have a special session as you can’t pull the life support plug even if there is no brain function left in the patient. That will only cost us all another 50million 😉

I don’t get it at this point. I can’t imagine buying one. It’s poor price performance.
Time to see what Apple does with the iMac updates.

What Apple did is just consolidate the old MacPro lines given the low sales. 8 Core is gone. Now just 4, 6, 12. No changes in specs at all.

    But…
