All I could find was this:

And this is before inserting the clip.

Even this “item properties” is now grayed out for some reason.

this site has some bugaboo about posting live links, and cannot get a basic thumbnail image shack link to post.

also, was going to ask Richard to Tom.
once I set in and out points and export as new clip , if I give this to an editor instead of orginal clip, is he getting same quality clip?

If you export as QuickTime Movie, yes.

    All the best,

That’s the sequence settings. You’re working in 1080i50. Where are you BTW? Do the same and check the clip item properties. Do they match in every aspect?

I’m sure it QT movie, as it about the only choice offered.

You know I asked a while back here about difference between 1080i50 and 1080i60. but could not get a response. My editor did not know. So I captured at 1080i50. Turns out that 1080i60 is the correct way to go for north americal ntsc. Still looks ok to me. will I see any problems?

Under view, I see item properties, and project properties. Don’t see clip properties. thanks.

    Kevin….

You REALLY need to invest some time in a book or a class….

If you can afford the gear, you can afford to dig in and train.

Posting a few questions on a website is not a substitute for flying blind.

Item Properties. You really should try the Help menu in the application for much of this stuff.
